Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist

Anna graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008, completing a Bachelor of Oral Health, as well as a Degree in Psychology and Communication. Throughout her career, Anna has always engaged in continuing education, becoming the first Dental Hygienist in Australia qualified and registered to use lasers in treating dental decay and gum disease.

She also recently completed post-graduate studies at the University of Melbourne to extend her qualifications to include Adult Scope Oral Health Therapy. Anna has spent 10 years working as an Oral-Health Therapist on a fly-in-fly-out basis, splitting her time between Brisbane and rural Queensland mining towns Biloela and Moranbah, before joining Grange Family Dental.

Anna takes pride in offering dental treatment in a manner that allows nervous or dental phobic patients to slowly become more comfortable in a dental setting, happily completing gentle, easy appointments before advancing into any treatments that patients may feel anxious or stressed about. Outside of Dentistry Anna enjoys playing and watching as much sport as possible. She is a keen mountain biker and hiker, competing in endurance adventure races most weekends in season. She also plays hockey, loves touch football and is an avid Brisbane Lions fan.
